Centre Firearms-produced blank ammunition represents the widest range in calibers and loadings tailored to the theatrical industry. They have been engineered for reliability of function and uniformity of charge, and utilize specially formulated powders to provide the brightest flash effect of longest duration without the use of unrealistic-looking additives. You can be assured of the greatest number of “takes” on film that capture the flash effect. The brass cases have been designed to provide positive feeding and ejection in semiautomatic and automatic weapons, unlike their commercial equivalents. Completely wadless, they are unique in the industry in their predominant use of lead-free priming to eliminate the hazardous lead residue of other commercial, theatrical, and military surplus blank ammunition.

Our 12 Ga. Full-Charge Theatrical Flash blanks are again unique in the industry in their ability to replicate shotgun recoil, and can actually function many semiautomatic gas-operated shotguns without further modification. The effect is impressive.
SafeShot blanks have but one loading which is designed to operate our SafeShot line of weapons to provide realistic cycling and recoil, but without muzzle discharge and at comfortable, though realistic, sound levels. They will chamber only in SafeShot guns, and may be used safely in close-quarters and point-blank scenes.
While the following table lists the standard calibers and loadings we stock, special calibers and charges can be supplied on request. Remember, do not interchange different makes and charges of blank ammunition. If in doubt, ask us and we will try to advise. Use only blanks recommended by the supplier of your weapons. Blanks should be handled as you would live ammunition, and follow the rules in “The Use of Theatrical Firearms.”
